Young Entrepreneurs

are paving the way to a bright future

The Sustainable Living Young Entrepreneurs Award is an annual competition that recognises the achievements of the world’s brightest stars in business.

Our planet is under immense strain. More than ever, our future relies on change today.

Young people are the guardians of the future

Unilever believe young people hold the key to a brighter future, which is why, as part of our commitment to sustainable living, we have set up the Unilever Sustainable Young Entrepreneur Awards. Launched in 2013 the Awards inspire and support the innovation and creativity of young people who are responding to the greatest global challenges that face us today.

Previous finalists include Anu Sridharan, who developed a business that has improved lives for people living in water scarce countries. Gamal Albinsaid helped turn garbage into medical care in Indonesia. With the vision and action of more entrepreneurs like Anu and Gamal, communities all around the world will benefit.

The 2017 Awards applications are nearly open. Once again we want the best young people to share their businesses with us, so we can help effect change on a global scale.

We are looking for entrepreneurs aged 35 and under with a product, service, or application that could change a practice or behaviour to enable sustainable living.

World-class business expertise and support

The Young Entrepreneurs will receive the expertise of both Unilever and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) through mentoring and support to help them develop their businesses. And, of course, CISL’s patron, the Prince of Wales, kindly supports this initiative by putting his name to the top prize.

The future can’t wait for young leaders, and we can’t wait to see next year’s Sustainable Living Young Entrepreneurs.

Entries open in May 2017. Sign up now to stay up to date.
